The band’s first full length album, Cigarettes After Sex’s self titled release is credited as what blew them up. The release caused a massive spike in popularity for the band with two tracks making the top 40 on Billboard charts. The band’s relaxed, sensual love songs are very popular, with each track on this album amassing hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify.

K. opens the album and sees singer Greg Gonzalez long for his partner in a long distance relationship. The song is based off of how his relationship with his now wife felt strained and difficult when he was touring as a musician.

Sunsetz sees a heartbroken lover yearn for happier days when he was in a relationship. He longs for the better days, missing his girlfriend and the joyful times that they had together.

Sweet is just about true love. The singer enjoys the romantics of the relationship, saying how sweet it is to finally find what he believes to be true love with no need to second guess or reexamine his feelings.
